Man Must Explore is an explosive alt-rock group started in Albany NY with the soul intention of reminding a broken society that we were never meant to be caged, and never meant to stay still once free. They embody the words spoken by astronaut David Scott on the Apollo 15 mission; "I sort of realize there's a fundamental truth to our nature, Man Must Explore . . . and this is exploration at its greatest." Their 2023 release “Tsunami” gained the group attention from international outlets, and was paralleled by their “I Really Have Become Quite Overwhelmed and Feel Like I’m Drowning” Tour in the Summer of 2023, wherein MME played every major club they came across with a vulnerability you might expect from a personal concert, and every DIY with a stage presence fit for an arena. UK journal Click Roll Boom describes MME as “undeniably captivating, seamlessly blending dark and dreamy elements”, providing an “immersive and authentic narrative, drawing inspiration from EMO-derived themes that resonate deeply.” MME is currently releasing new music, beginning with “The Greatest Story I’ll Never Read”, a heart wrenching emo anthem which can only be born from the bitter loss of what was never possessed. They celebrate these releases with The Greatest Story Tour; a twelve-show series from Boston to Richmond. Man Must Explore is guitarist Thommy “Tsunami” Harrington, bassist Ana Carolina Peronico, drummer Tia Malai Mathison, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Ryan Treen.
