About me
Once dismissed by The Village Voice as a “bitter, jaded alterna-Billy Joel,” NYC’s Jason Spiewak is a veteran of the music industry, celebrated for his thoughtful songwriting and dynamic piano performances. His first solo release in 21 years, Wash Me Clean, marks a defining moment in his career. Recorded at Noble Steed Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL—a studio he co-founded with Grammy-winner Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves, Brittany Howard, Little Big Town)—the project features top musicians, including Sol Philcox-Littlefield and Esther Little. His latest single, Daddy, is a heartfelt tribute to his late father.
Spiewak began his career in independent music, working at Artemis, Studio E, and TVT Records, where he helped drive chart success for Warren Zevon, The Pretenders, Pitbull, and Lil Jon. In 2004, he co-founded Rock Ridge Music, later becoming its president, overseeing A&R for Reel Big Fish, Kittie, and others. Under his leadership, the label achieved high-charting releases from Sister Hazel, Rachel Platten, and Bernie Williams.
A Grammy voting member since 2003, Spiewak is an accomplished producer, pianist, and songwriter. He spent a decade writing a song a week and actively donates his time to the Music Is Love Exchange, leading service trips to Guatemala.
