About me
Laura Rose is a passionate and forward thinking music industry professional and community builder who’s reshaping the scene in a traditionally male-dominated field. As the driving force and CEO of Riot Squad Media and talent buyer & operations coordinator at Creative Concerts, she has been instrumental in launching and growing innovative events that spotlight emerging talent and energize local music scenes. Working in partnership with Creative Concerts, where she serves as the talent buyer and operations coordinator, Laura has built a reputation for curating high-impact events. A trailblazer in the industry, Laura offers a fresh, youthful perspective on what festivals look for when booking artists, inspiring peers and elevating the overall event experience.
Riot Squad Media’s work includes launching Camp Punksylvania—a festival now in its fifth year and doubling in size annually, as well as founding Buffalo Ska Fest, which has sold out every year since its inception. In addition, Riot Squad Media has hosted numerous sold-out shows throughout Western New York and NEPA, consistently delivering memorable experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
Beyond event production, Riot Squad Media excels in managing and guiding regional bands, overseeing everything from touring logistics and marketing strategies to overall career development. She also plays a pivotal role on the vendor side at larger scale festivals, seamlessly integrating creative vision with operational expertise.
Joining Laura is Kyle Johnson, Production Manager for Riot Squad Media and owner/operator of Amplified Backline. With extensive experience in live production, stage management, and artist relations, Kyle has been an integral part of Riot Squad Media, helping to shape the festival experience from both technical and creative standpoints.
Both Laura and Kyle bring years of hands-on experience, a deep love for the music scene, and a commitment to fostering independent artists and community-driven events.
